About Alaska Mist Soaps

  Alaskan Mist Soaps was founded, crafted and sculped by a local resident of Southeast Alaska. Randy and Crystal Toman began creating soaps in their home for her husband and family. Since then, a local native introduced the teaching and process for making Devils Club Salve and oil. The beginning of Alaska Mist products. 

 We are a large, faith-driven family with deep agriculture roots. Committed to integrity and hard work, we have taken pride in delivering quality products to our customers in the past. 

What drove us to Alaska? In the late 1980s, my husband lived in Southeast Alaska while his father worked in the timber industry. About 5-6 years ago, we were faced with an opportunity of change to Southeast Alaska and together we've grown to appreciate the distinctiveness of Southeast Alaska. Living off-grid presents challenges but also offers daily beauty, solitude, and wonder.  

    We met the amazing and wonderful Toman family. The owner of Alaska Mist Soaps. Right away I could feel her energy, love of God and the respect of her business. This overwhelming love overflowed to a forever friendship and sister in faith. After days in the “soap shop,” I now appreciate the enthusiasm behind every bar of soap. I see firsthand the care and quality in each hand-crafted bar and jar. Located in a temperate rainforest, each bar is produced using natural rainwater that does not contain hard minerals or added chlorine. The Devil’s Club Plant is locally harvested and used in natural soap, salve, and oil for its beneficial properties.
